Iowa Area Education Agencies provide Iowa AEA Online, consisting of eight dynamic online resources, to all Iowa accredited schools. Students and staff have access at school and at home (Internet access required), 24 hours a day and seven days a week! These online resources support the content standards for school curriculum and student learning by bringing a wealth of information to teachers and students wherever they may be, with just the click of a mouse. Campus Portal is our tool for parents and students to access instant, online, timely and secure student information: class schedule, assignments, attendance, discipline, course registrations for next year, report cards and transcripts. Campus Portal is a means to further promote educational excellence by enhancing our program of communication with parents and students.

Moodle is a learning management system that lets our teachers provide documents, graded assignments, quizzes, discussion forums, etc. to their students with an easy to learn and use interface. Moodle is open-source, meaning that the programming code that runs it can be changed to meet the specific needs of users and institutions. Moodle is also free to download and use; there is no licensing fee.

Google Apps for Education is our student web-based system for email, calendar, documents and more to provide collaborative study anytime, anywhere.

Skills Iowa provides technology tools to Iowa schools and the training and support to implement them through a federal grant. The Assessment Center is one tool that can be used to assess students in grades 3-12 in reading comprehension, mathematics and the conventions of language.
