Student Support Programming

Student Services Support Services

At the Fort Dodge Community School District, our student support programs are designed to provide essential assistance for students needing significant academic, interpersonal, or social-emotional support. These programs also connect students and families with valuable community resources and services.

Our dedicated staff collaborate with students and families to strengthen their connection to school. By addressing specific needs and ensuring students have the necessary support, we help maximize their school attendance and instructional time. Families are encouraged to actively participate, working alongside our team to ensure students succeed. Our staff coordinates with parents, students, and service providers to deliver timely and effective support directly within the school environment.

Become a Mentor in FDCSD

Make a difference in the lives of students by becoming a mentor! Mentors play a vital role in providing guidance and support to help students thrive. If you’re interested, please reach out to Corey Moody for more information.

Juvenile Court Liaison Program

In partnership with the Juvenile Court Office, our Juvenile Court Liaison Program supports students in grades 5-12 who are involved in the juvenile court system. Two onsite Juvenile Court Liaisons work closely with schools to monitor the progress of probation and at-risk students, focusing on school attendance, academics, and discipline.

Additionally, these liaisons provide Aggression Replacement Training (ART), equipping students with skills to manage peer pressure, control anger, and develop essential life skills. Students are identified through collaborative student service provider meetings, ensuring targeted and effective support.

School Resource Officer (SRO)

The School Resource Officer (SRO) serves all Fort Dodge Community School District schools, with a primary office at the high school. The SRO fosters positive relationships and connections with students in a safe, non-threatening environment, enhancing school safety and student well-being.
