District Mental Health Professionals
Mental health support is available at Fort Dodge Senior High through our District Mental Health Therapist, Alex Leffler, and outside providers that come into our building to provide their services.
The District Mental Health Therapists can provide services including intake assessment, short-term individual sessions, crisis intervention, group counseling, skill building, progress monitoring, and referrals to external service providers as needed.
If interested in setting up services with a district mental health professional, please reach out to your child's school counselor.
External Mental Health Providers Serving Students at Fort Dodge Senior High building
Some external providers in the community come to the FDSH building to provide therapy services.
Your child may be referred to one of our external service providers if they are already meeting with the district's mental health professional, or you can request to be referred directly.
Please talk to your child's school counselor if you are interested in being referred to an external mental health provider providing services within the FDSH building.
