  • Apprenticeship: get paid to learn how to do a job.

  • Trade/Vocational School: a specialty school for a specific career (La 'James, Palmer College of Chiropractic, Allen College, etc.)

  • Community College: offers 2-year Associate's Degrees, Certificate and Diploma programs.

  • Community College, then Transfer: earn your 2-year Associate's Degree first, then transfer to complete your 4-year degree.

  • 4-Year University: earn your 4-year degree, also called a Bachelor's Degree.

  • Graduate School & Beyond: some careers require 4+ years of college, such as a Master's Degree (6+ years) or Doctorate (8+ years). These degrees are offered at 4-year universities, and you can start them after completing your Bachelor's Degree.
